Join us for the Fifth Annual 5K Dash&Dine at UMass Amherst benefiting the Amherst Survival Center. Prizes, Costume Contest & Complementary Lunch at Berkshire Dining Commons. Walk or Run - Register at www.RunUMass.com!
1.) To Benefit the Amherst Survival Center:
All proceeds from the 5K Dash & Dine will be donated to help our Neighbors in Need. The Amherst Survival Center is a regional resource providing food, clothing, health care and community to residents or Hampshire and Franklin Counties through volunteer efforts. All you need is $5 to make a difference in the community. In previous years we have raised up to $5,000 and we will raise more with your support.
2.) Create a Team with your Closest Friends:
Worried about finishing a 5K on your own? Hoping for some motivation along the route? Gather some of your closest friends, roommates, or even your brothers and sisters from your frat or sorority and register together! Running alongside your friends will make the 5K seem like a piece of cake! This year we’re looking to have over 2,000 participants so gather your friends and sign up now!
3.) Compete in our Costume Contest:
Have fun while running the 5K! Participants are urged to compete in our costume competition! Prizes are awarded to the best male and female costume participants. So why not have some fun with your attire and dress up – If this runner can do it, so can you!
4.) Enjoy a Complimentary Lunch from UMass Dining:
What better way to end the race, than with a complimentary lunch waiting for you past the finish line? Meet up with your friends or family and join us for a fun, community lunch in Berkshire Dining Commons after the race!
5.) Win Great Prizes:
Each year we award the top three runners in each age and gender category as well as raffle off great prizes from local businesses to participants in the 5K! Whether you aim to be in top place, or just want to run or walk for fun, we want to award you for your hard work! Age and gender category winners receive trophies and raffle prizes are provided by local businesses.
