SLOPPY JOE
CASSEROLE

INGREDIENTS
Serves 4 to 6
Vegetable oil 2.5 pounds ground beef or turkey 1 tablespoon garlic powder 2 (15.5-ounce) cans sloppy joe sauce,
such as Hunt’s Manwich 2 (12-count) packages crescent rolls
4 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Lightly coat
a 9- by 13-inch baking pan with nonsick cooking spray.
2. Heat a thin ilm of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meat and season with the garlic powder. Cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, unil completely cooked and brown, about 10 minutes. Add the sloppy joe sauce and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to a simmer and cook unil the sauce thickens slightly, 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Unroll 1 package of crescent rolls and arrange pieces to cover the botom of the baking pan. Sprinkle 2 cups of cheese on top. Carefully pour the sloppy joe mixture over the cheese. Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of cheese over the meat. Un- roll the remaining package of rolls and place on top to cover.
4. Bake unil the top is golden brown and the rolls are cooked through, about 15 minutes.
