“We make this salad for every holiday party and family gathering. It always dis- appears! It is a great way to get everyone to eat their broccoli. The mix of sweet and salty in the dressing and the crunch of the noodles makes it so tasty.”

PREPARATION
1. To make the dressing: Put the sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and soy sauce in a jar. Cap the jar and shake to combine.
2. To make the salad: In a bowl, combine the letuce, onions and broccoli. Right before serving, pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss to coat thoroughly. Sprinkle ramen noodles on top.
Salad:
2 small or 1 large head romaine letuce, chopped
4 green onions, sliced
A few handfuls chopped broccoli crowns (about 1 pre-packaged bag)
1 package ramen noodles (discard lavoring packet), broken up and toasted

Dressing: 1/2 cup sugar (or slightly less) 1/2 cup vegetable or olive oil 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar Salt Ground black pepper 2 teaspoon soy sauce
