PARMESAN CHEESE
APPETIZERS

“I was given this recipe from a caterer and it is oten requested by family and friends. Someimes the simplest things are the best. Have a bowl of the cheese mixture made up in the refrigerator during the hol- idays. When the unexpected guest drops by, simply cut some bread, spread this on, and bake.” Mary Beth Meyer
PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine the cheese, mayonnaise, onion and pepper in a bowl unil well-mixed.
2. Cut the crusts of the bread slices or use a cookie cuter (especially during the holidays). Spread about
2 teaspoons of the cheese mix onto each slice.
3. Arrange the slices on a rimmed baking sheet and bake 5 to 7 minutes or unil golden and bubbly. Serve immediately.
INGREDIENTS
Serves 12
3/4 cup (3 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoons grated onion 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper 24 slices irm, textured bread
