Dear Family and Friends,
Our award-winning UMass Dining Services is proud to publish the 7th ediion of the Taste of Home Cookbook. As in years past, the book is composed of wonderful recipes from parents, alumni and supporters of our university.
I would like to thank everyone who sent us recipes of their favorite dishes this year. We look forward to serving these dishes at UMass and sharing them with food lovers far and wide.
This is our best cookbook yet, and the verdict is in: Home cooking is hard to beat. In the 2014 Taste of Home Cookbook, we have more than 130 recipes. The recipes are simple, delicious, and healthy. Many include a personal story. Several also highlight local ingredients that relect our campus dining philosophy. This year, Mala Subbaswamy, our Chancellor’s wife, contributed one of her favorite recipes, and we are grateful for her support. UMass chefs also have tested these recipes and many are being incorporated into the menus at our dining commons.
And more great news: The UMass Amherst star is rising. Our dining services
is now ranked second in the naion by the Princeton Review. But our program wouldn’t be the same without your involvement and your recipes, so we thank you for your kind support. When you dine at UMass, you dine with our campus family. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Go UMass!
