Milk and Cereal Bar

INGREDIENTS PREPARATION
Serves 40
3 3⁄4 cups Bran Flakes cereal
3 1⁄3 cups Cheerios cereal
2 2⁄3 cups sliced almonds
3⁄4 cup hulled sunflower seeds 1⁄3 cup flax meal
1 cup dried tart cherries, chopped
1 cup golden raisins
1 1⁄4 cups dried sweetened cranberries
3⁄4 cup plus 2 tablespoons honey
1 cup packed light brown sugar 1⁄2 cup creamy peanut butter
5 tablespoons sweetened con- densed milk
1. Grease a 15- by 10-inch jelly roll pan with shortening.
2. In a large bowl, combine the Bran Flakes, Cheerios, almonds, sunflower seeds, flax meal, dried cherries, raisins and cranberries. Set aside.
3. In a saucepan, combine the honey, brown sugar and peanut butter over medi- um-high heat until mixture comes to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in the sweet- ened condensed milk until combined.
4. Pour the liquid mixture over the cereal mixture and stir until evenly mixed. Transfer to the prepared pan, press- ing the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan using a rolling pin. Let cool com- pletely before cutting into bars.
