Perfect Party Pizza Dip

INGREDIENTS Serves 10 to 12
1 cup marinara sauce
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄4 teaspoon dried Italian sea- soning
1⁄4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons finely diced green bell pepper
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
24 pepperoni slices
1⁄2 cup cooked and thinly sliced sweet Italian sausage
Fresh basil leaves, torn or cut into small pieces, for garnish
Sliced French bread, crostini, crackers or tortilla chips, for dipping
PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. In a medium bowl, combine the marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes and bell pepper. Set aside.
2. Inalargebowl,stirtogeth- er the cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese until mixed.
3. Lightly spray an oven-safe baking dish or pie plate with nonstick cooking spray. Pour the cream cheese mixture into the bottom of the dish and spread evenly. Top with half of the marina- ra sauce, followed by half of the pepperoni and sausage. Sprinkle half of the remain- ing mozzarella on top. Layer the remaining meat over the cheese, reserving a few slices of pepperoni for gar- nish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and reserved pepperoni.
4. Bake until the cheese
is melted and the dip is bubbling, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat and top with basil. Serve with de- sired accompaniments for dipping.
