Brownie Fudge Pie

INGREDIENTS
Makes 1 (9-inch) pie
1⁄2 cup (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter 1 1⁄2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1⁄2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1⁄2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Whipped cream or ice cream, for serving (optional)
PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate. Transfer to a bowl and let cool.
3. Add the eggs, sugar, flour, vanilla and salt to the cooled chocolate mixture and mix well. Pour into the prepared pie dish. Sprinkle nuts on top of batter, if using.
4. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with whipped cream, ice cream or both, if desired.
