The Bakery Assistant (Departmental Assistant) prepares baked goods such as bread, rolls and pastries; decorates cakes and other baked goods; operates equipment such as bread slicers, mixers and ovens; and inspects baking ingredients for spoilage. This is a temporary, unbenefited position.Under the direction of the Director of Residential Dining Operations, the Associate Director of Dining Operations is responsible for the management of multiple dining locations and will perform in accordance with university policy, administrative duties as outlined; and is responsible for multi-unit supervision of all zone dining operations including responsibility and oversight of a management team, supervisors, and chefs. The Associate Director of Dining Operations has financial oversight and responsibility for their area revenue and expenses.Performs general custodial duties in connection with the cleaning and maintenance of a building or of an assigned area within a building in the Auxiliary Services Department. Works as a member of a team cleaning custodial program (CAPP Hillyard Rovic) which includes housekeeping, cleaning, moving furniture, and trash removal in assigned Auxiliary Services buildings.Performs general custodial duties in connection with the cleaning and maintenance of a building or of an assigned area within a building in the Auxiliary Services Department. Works as a member of a team cleaning custodial program (CAPP Hillyard Rovic) which includes housekeeping, cleaning, moving furniture, and trash removal in assigned Auxiliary Services buildings.Participates in general and specific cleaning tasks of hotel guestrooms and public areas.Working supervision of all food preparation within the dining hall; supervise preparation of special functions; performs related work as required.The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for functional management of the production area of the Worcester Dining Commons dining including quality control, line presentation, and customer service. Responsibilities include food preparation, food purchasing, recipe and menu development, staff scheduling for events as well as culinary initiatives. This position is also responsible for the planning and implementation of special projects designated by the Executive Chef, Residential Dining and the Director of Operations, Residential Dining.Supervises unit control by placement and supervision of personnel assigned to food service unit or units under the prescribed operational schedules and guidelines of said unit(s).
