Performs routine manual and domestic job duties in a food service operation including cooking, cleaning, and serving food. The basic purpose of this work is to perform cooking tasks and assist with cleaning and food serving work as needed.Supervises and participates in the set-up of dining rooms and serving areas; assists in the serving of food and beverage; delivers and services coffee breaks and meals; supervision of personnel assigned to the function; assist with maintaining records; trains and supervises student employees.The Bakery Assistant (Departmental Assistant) prepares baked goods such as bread, rolls and pastries; decorates cakes and other baked goods; operates equipment such as bread slicers, mixers and ovens; and inspects baking ingredients for spoilage. This is a temporary, unbenefited position.Under the direction of the Director of Residential Dining Operations, the Associate Director of Dining Operations is responsible for the management of multiple dining locations and will perform in accordance with university policy, administrative duties as outlined; and is responsible for multi-unit supervision of all zone dining operations including responsibility and oversight of a management team, supervisors, and chefs. The Associate Director of Dining Operations has financial oversight and responsibility for their area revenue and expenses.Participates in general and specific cleaning tasks of hotel guestrooms and public areas.Working supervision of all food preparation within the dining hall; supervise preparation of special functions; performs related work as required.
