SNICKERS STYLE
DESSERT BARS

“Since we both enjoy ice cream as our favorite dessert (and snickers candy
bars) this is the best of both worlds. It is perfect ater a day at the beach. It’s also
a low-calorie dessert if you use nonfat or low-fat ingredients. A 9- by 12-inch pan can be used if you double the ingredients.” Karen Oliver
PREPARATION
1. Have an 8-inch square pan that can withstand freezing temperatures ready. In a large bowl, combine the ice cream and whipped cream top- ping. Let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes or unil sotened.
2. Sir in the peanut buter and pud- ding mix. With a handheld electric beater, beat the mixture for 5 min- utes or unil smooth.
3. Pour into the pan and smooth out the top with a rubber spatula. Freeze unil irm, about 2 hours.
INGREDIENTS
Serves 6 to 8
2 cups vanilla or chocolate ice cream or frozen yogurt
1 cup whipped cream topping, such as Cool Whip
1/4 cup peanut buter (smooth or crunchy)
1 (4-ounce) package instant pudding (chocolate or vanilla)
