BREAKFAST SAUSAGE BAKE
CABOT CHEESE
INGREDIENTS
PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat an 8- by 10-inch or similar-sized baking dish with nonsick cooking spray.
2. Tear the bread into small pieces and scater over the botom of the dish. Top with sausage.
3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs unil homogenous. Whisk in the milk, mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over the bread and sausage and sprinkle the cheese over the top.
4. Bake, uncovered, unil set in the center (when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean), 35 to 45 minutes.
Serves 8
4 slices whole-grain or white sandwich bread
1 pound bulk sausage, browned and drained of excess fat
6 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 ounces Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar, grated (about 1 cup)
