This is a family recipe handed down to us. This recipe brings with it memories of our family tradition of going apple picking for apples to be used in it.
INGREDIENTS
4 cups sliced apples 1 cup flour
3⁄4 cup sugar
1⁄2 cup canola oil
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1-2 tbsp. cinnamon-sugar mixed
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350˚ F.
2. Butter a large pie plate. Spread apples over bottom and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
3. In a medium bowl mix flour, sugar, and baking powder.
4. Add egg and mix well. Then, add oil, mix well. Spoon mixture over apples to cover them.
5. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
