DUBE | WAKEFIELD, MA | SERVES 6-8
This recipe conjures up memories of family, happiness and love. I make it with love for my family and everyone enjoys eating it from the children to the adults. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
1⁄2 cup unsalted butter, softened 3⁄4 cup white granulated sugar
3 eggs, beaten
Dash of salt
5 slices of white bread, crusts trimmed off and cubed
1 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple, almost fully drained (leave some liquid)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 325˚ F..
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
3. Add beaten eggs to the mixture and beat all together.
4. Stir in the salt, pineapple and bread. The mixture will look curdled.
5. Pour mixture into a 1 1⁄2 quart ungreased casserole dish.
6. Bake for 45-60 minutes until it starts to very lightly brown on the top.
