This delicious recipe has been in the family for years.
INGREDIENTS
12 oz. chocolate chips 2 whole eggs
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups heavy cream
2 tsp. powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 1 minute on high. Remove and stir. Repeat heating 15-20 second intervals until smooth.
2. Add 2 whole eggs to 4 egg yolks. Beat with fork. Stir into melted chocolate.
3. Beat 4 egg whites until stiff peaks. Gently fold into chocolate mixture.
4. Whip 3⁄4 cup heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold into chocolate mixture.
5. Pour into individual serving bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
6. Whip the rest of the cream to peak. Stir vanilla and sugar into whipped cream. Put a dollop on the top of each mousse.
