This recipe comes from Grandmother: Bobbe Marolyn. She has been making these for several decades and we love them on holidays. They do look like little snowballs!
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour 1⁄2 tsp. salt 3⁄4 cup butter 1⁄2 cup sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 1 egg
1 cup chopped walnuts 6 oz. chocolate bits
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Blend butter, sugar, and vanilla in a mixer.
2. Beat in egg and stir in flour and salt.
3. Add nuts and bits and shape into one-inch balls.
4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 15-20 minutes at 350˚ F.
5. Cool and roll in confectionery sugar. Freezes well.
