This recipe was handed down by my GREAT grandfather. Whenever I make this it’s a guarantee I have a house full!
INGREDIENTS
Meatballs
1 1⁄2 lb. lean hamburger meat 2 eggs
1⁄2 cup Italian bread crumbs 2 cloves garlic
1⁄3 cup Parmesan cheese 1 tbsp. season salt
Pasta
1 lb. box
INSTRUCTIONS
Sauce
1 46 oz. can V-8 juice
3 6 oz. cans tomato paste
1 22 oz. can crushed tomatoes 3 cloves garlic
1 small onion
1 small green pepper
2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1⁄4 tsp. hot pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 bay leaf
1. Mix meatball ingredients well and form meatballs.
2. Bake at 350˚ F for 25 minutes.
3. Combine sauce ingredients in a large sauce pot and simmer all day.
4. In a large pot, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
5. Combine sauce and meatballs and ladle over cooked spaghetti.
