OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
INGREDIENTS
2 sticks butter
3⁄4 cup brown sugar 3⁄4 cup white sugar 2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1⁄2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. hot water
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 Cream together butter and sugars 4 until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat together. Set aside.
2 In a separate bowl, mix flour
and salt. 5
3 Dissolve baking soda in the hot water.
Add the baking soda and the flour mixture alternately to the butter mixture. Mix in oatmeal, nuts and chocolate chips.
Place rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350°F. for
10-12 minutes.
