Yummy Chicken Wings

“This recipe is an old family favorite that everyone seems to like. If you’re serving a crowd, use 10 pounds of chicken wings and increase the other ingredients accordingly.” Dorothy Harvey
INGREDIENTS Serves 6 to 8
5 pounds chicken wings, tips removed, wings halved at the joint
3⁄4 cup molasses 1⁄4 cup soy sauce 1 cup water Garlic powder
PREPARATION
1. Place the chicken wings on rimmed baking sheets.
2. In a bowl, stir together the molasses, soy sauce, water and a few sprinkles of garlic powder. Pour the mixture over the wings. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning the wings over once.
3. Preheat oven to 325°F.
4. Uncover the baking sheets and bake the wings for
45 minutes. Turn the wings over and bake for 45 minutes more.
5. If you like your wings tacky, take them out 10 minutes before they are done and pour off the excess mari- nade. Then return them to the oven and bake for 10 minutes more.
