This is a temporary, unbenefited position.Working supervision of all food preparation within the dining hall; supervise preparation of special functions; performs related work as required.Performs desk clerk functions in a residence hall registering guest, assigning accommodations, receiving payments. Makes security tours of facility, keeps records, and provides information. Performs related work as required.The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for functional management of the production area of the Worcester Dining Commons dining including quality control, line presentation, and customer service. Responsibilities include food preparation, food purchasing, recipe and menu development, staff scheduling for events as well as culinary initiatives. This position is also responsible for the planning and implementation of special projects designated by the Executive Chef, Residential Dining and the Director of Operations, Residential Dining.Supervises unit control by placement and supervision of personnel assigned to food service unit or units under the prescribed operational schedules and guidelines of said unit(s).The Bakery Assistant prepares baked goods such as bread, rolls and pastries; decorates cakes and other baked goods; operates equipment such as bread slicers, mixers and ovens; and inspects baking ingredients for spoilage. This is a temporary, unbenefited position.
